New Music: Slaughterhouse ft Eminem-Asylum

For anyone keeping track, this is the 3rd Slaughterhouse song featuring Eminem to come out this week. This track is a free one that won’t be on “Welcome to: our house”, but it’s still pretty good. I like the beat and chorus by Eminem, and even the verses from the Slaughterhouse gang are good. My only problem, like with the song “Throw That”, is that they only used Em on the chorus. Eminem isn’t somebody to use on only the chorus, and he should always have a verse. I can’t knock Slaughterhouse’s plan though. It looks like they’re pushing out everything they can with their Shady Records boss to build anticipation for their album. Unfortunately, the tracks haven’t lived up to all the expectations. “Welcome to: our house” drops on August 28th.

New Music: Slaughterhouse ft Eminem & Skylar Grey-Our House

With their album “Welcome to: our house” dropping in a week, Slaughterhouse has done a good job of building hype. I think they know what’s going to catch people’s attention, and that would be the head of their label, Eminem. They’ve released two songs from the album and it just happens that it’s the two tracks on their album with Eminem. I was really disappointed with “Throw That” and I was starting to feel like this song would be like it. On “Throw That”, Em only did the chorus and I thought they might have done something like that again on “Our House”. Thankfully, Eminem came in at the end and blew it out of the water. Once again, I enjoyed the Skylar Grey feature much like “I Need a Doctor”. This will definitely build some buzz for the album, but now I wonder what people who aren’t big Slaughterhouse fans will tune in for. It would be Eminem, but now both tracks with him are out. We’ll have to wait until August 28th and see if Slaughterhouse delivers.

New Music: Slaughterhouse ft Eminem-Throw That

Just two days ago, Slaughterhouse released their mixtape “On the House” to hold fans over until their album came out on August 28th. The first and probably most anticipated single dropped today, a song called “Throw That” with Eminem. I was really excited for this as is the case with mostly everything with Eminem involved. Unfortunately, it’s very disappointing. It’s no where near the best that Em could bring and he only does the chorus. Very disappointing.

Once again, the Slaughterhouse album “Welcome to: our house” comes out on August 28th. And stay tuned for my review of their mixtape, “On the House”.

Throwback Thursday: Stan by Eminem

Throwback Thursday will be a running post here at CFC, and every Thursday I will post a song that is a sort of Throwback. It doesn’t have to go back to a certain time it’s just a song that I like that I want to share with you. It could be 10 years old or 2 years old. Just whatever I’m feeling.

For the first Throwback Thursday, I brought out a heavy hitter. After posting about early Eminem earlier, I decided to bring out one of my favorites from Em and actually one of my favorite songs of all time. I love when rap tells a story and that’s exactly what “Stan” does. It’s hard to get better than this song for me. So here’s “Stan” and the extended video for it. I suggest you listen to it if by some crazy chance you haven’t heard it and if you have, I suggest you here it again. Here’s Stan by Eminem on my first Throwback Thursday.
