Skip Bayless gets put in his place

Oh, Skip Bayless. Known for being a complete douche on more than one occasion in his time with ESPN, he’s one of the companies least liked “analysts”. It’s really the only reason he’s even still on the network, but that’s not the point. People don’t like Bayless and when he’s up to his usual douchebaggery it’s nice for someone to put him in his place. In comes his ESPN co-worker, Jalen Rose.

The argument stems from a tweet from Bayless earlier in the week. ” FYI: I started for high school team that lost in state finals. Coach didn’t like me b/c I shot too much and he wanted me to be more PG” Bayless tweeted. Woah Skip, that’s impressive. In the quote he was comparing his playing style to that of Russell Westbrook.

Not so fast Skippy. A website called TheLostOgle found a yearbook from the time that Skip Bayless was at Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City. In the yearbook, the stats of every student was listed. In his senior year, Bayless scored 21 points. No, not 21 points a game. 21 points in 22 games. Ouch Skip, shouldn’t have lied to the internet.

Anyway, on ESPN’s First Take Jalen Rose called him out on it. Call it unprofessional, but hilarity ensued.
